About · remote, based in Phoenix, AZ
Jeff DeSpain
I’ve spent over a decade building software—as an engineer and as a solutions architect working directly with clients. I bring that same clarity and blue-collar work ethic to owners who need a trusted software partner, not another faceless agency. I’m based in Phoenix, Arizona, and I collaborate remotely with businesses across the US.
Most of my career has been building software and sitting with clients as a solutions architect—translating messy requirements into practical systems, then helping teams actually ship. That mix matters for small and mid-sized businesses anywhere in the US: you need someone who can simplify without watering things down, choose build vs buy wisely, and still deliver.
I live in Phoenix. The practice is remote: a software partner you can text, websites when you need them, and systems or custom work when the off-the-shelf stack isn’t enough. If you’re in the Valley, we can meet in person.
A site you can open today is thesellingpodcast.com, the website for The Selling Podcast. The hosts are Mike Williams and Scott Schlofman. I built it with Next.js and Tailwind CSS and deployed it on Vercel. Read the case study.
